Karlene Ostrosky

Karlene Ostrosky, Barrister & Solicitor, graduated from the University of Victoria Law School in 2017 and was called to the Bar in 2018. Her practice is focused on all aspects of real estate development law. She has experience working with the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, Sunshine Coast Regional District, District of Sechelt, District of North Vancouver, City of North Vancouver and Town of Gibsons to complete subdivision applications and solve complex issues that arise in the context of real estate development. 

Karlene has assisted many developers with subdivision applications, disclosure statements, strata title conversion applications, modifications of existing covenant areas and other development related matters.  

Karlene particularly enjoys being involved in a real estate development project from beginning to end, starting from acquiring a project site, through to subdividing and rezoning the site, and finally to marketing and selling the project. She provides practical, strategic and timely advice and develops effective solutions to ensure her client’s projects are successful.

In addition to real estate law experience, Karlene has experience assisting clients with estate planning matters, probate applications, transfer transactions being made under Section 85 and 86 (Income Tax Act of Canada) to transfer property, general corporate matters, commercial transactions, Land Owner Transparency filings, drafting and negotiating marriage, cohabitation and representation agreements, and other legal matters.
